Walnut Cookie Slab Table Set

Matched coffee and end table set built around walnut cookie slabs — cross-sections that preserve the full growth ring and live edge of the tree. The slabs required flattening with a custom-built router sled jig before the natural voids and cracks could be filled with epoxy. Welded steel bases were fabricated for both pieces, giving the organic slab tops a clean industrial counterpoint. The set lives together as a cohesive suite in the client's living room.
