SCS Chess Set
A full two-player chess set designed to be cut entirely from flat sheet metal and ordered from SendCutSend. Each piece is a 1/8" laser-cut profile bolted to a round base, the 64 board squares sit in a cut plate, and a bent sheet-metal base holds it together. Every part is free to download as a STEP file, ready to upload for a quote. Heads up: I haven't built this board yet, and material thickness and cut tolerances vary by material and vendor, so check the fit of the squares and pieces before ordering a full set. The board squares are drawn at 2.21" for 0.02" of clearance per side in the 2.25" plate holes.
Complete set for two players: 2 kings, 2 queens, 4 bishops, 4 knights, 4 rooks, 16 pawns, 32 bases, 64 squares, a board plate, and a bent base. Each piece fastens to its base with a McMaster 92210A194 flat head screw and 90631A009 nylon-insert locknut (32 of each). The full BOM is included in the download.
