Clinic-in-a-Can Modular Walls

Collaborative project designed during Innovation Studio 1 with Clinic-in-a-Can, a local nonprofit that deploys medical clinics in shipping containers to emergency situations globally. The goal was to create a modular wall system to link multiple shipping containers together, forming a reliable, weatherproof seal around the joined perimeter. This proposed solution features interlocking panels with insulated foam interiors sandwiched between a structural wood layer and a durable steel exterior. These segments chain together to secure the open gaps between containers. A scaled 3D-printed prototype was created to demonstrate the geometric interlocking joints, showcased here alongside preliminary concept sketches and the main CAD model.
